  2.              Mr. Richard N. Wisan's fonts and his comments:

  5.              These fonts were made because the resident fonts seem crowded
  6.              in anything smaller than pica.  They're utilitarian fonts,
  7.              designed for specific widths from elite down, and none of them
  8.              looks right in Pica.  Each of them has a matching proportional
  9.              font: ELITEP.LQP matches ELITEQ.LQN, &c.
  10.  
  11.                 ELITEQ.LQN: resembles Epson's resident Roman font, but
  12.                 slightly reduced to suit elite spacing.
  13.  
  14.                 SANSQ.LQN:  is a sans serif font also intended for elite 
  15.                 spacing.  Having no serifs, its proportional version, 
  16.                 SANSP.LQP is slightly narrower than ELITEP.LQP. 
  17.  
  18.              The following fonts form a more or less matched set.  In style
  19.              similar, each is designed for a specific size.  Besides the 
  20.              usual matching proportional font, these have draft mode sib-
  21.              lings: thus, FIFP.LQP is the proportional match for FIFQ.LQN, 
  22.              and FIFD.LQD is a rough match for draft mode.

  24.                 ELLETQ.LQN: is a lighter font than the two above, using
  25.                 small serifs.  In style, it matches the fonts below, but
  26.                 it's sized for (uncondensed) elite.

  28.                 FIFQ.LQN:   is a slim font intended for 15 char/inch
  29.                 spacing.  To maintain proper proportions, it's a little
  30.                 shorter, and can take line spacing as small as 8/inch.

  32.                 CONDQ.LQN:* is a slightly smaller version of FIFQ, meant
  33.                 for condensed pica (17 or 18 char/inch) and vertical spac-
  34.                 ing of 1/8" or 23/180ths.
  35.  
  36.                 WEEQ.LQN:*  fits condensed elite (20 char/inch) at spacings
  37.                 down to about 20/180".
  38.  
  39.              Note: Starred (*) fonts are sized to be printed condensed.  
  40.                    Printed in normal width, they look awful.
